Tackles and Ties

The NFL Draft was full of surprises with the outlandish outfits to the wild picks. From Devin Bush to Greddy Williams the outfits where very colorful and hard hitting. Lets check out some of them below.

Devin Bush came through wearing what appears to be a white sling across his perfectly tailored black suit. As far as notable looks go, Bush was in good company. Kyle Murry rolled up in a pastel pink striped suit, sporting a pair of fresh white sneaks. It doesn’t quite have the shock factor that Bush’s strapped-in look does, but fans definitely took note of his impeccable style.

Cornerback Greedy Williams went for a bright red look accented by pure white, thick-soled shoes and matching shirt. Contrasting the bright red, Williams wore a subdued gold bow tie with matching pocket square, and perfectly-sized, large gold watch.

Lebron James fashion continues to grow to new heights just like his career. This summer he brought back a pair of his retro shoes and some other Nike designs to make the naysayers speechless.

When LeBron James attended the  Summer Leagues last weekend, I couldn’t help but notice a pair of Los Angeles Lakers-themed Nike LeBron 3s on his feet.

The Nike LeBron 3 “Lakers” PE are tinged in the team colors of the Lakers, with purple on the left side and yellow on the right. Complete with bold hues on the upper halves of each foot, shiny white overlays grace the lower regions: the toe box, mudguard and quarter rear.

First spotted in the 2018 NBA Finals, LeBron James showed face at this year’s Summer League program in support of his new teammates sporting the same Nike Air Zoom Generation PE’s. Considered to be his first public appearance donning Lakers purple and gold, King James teamed his boldly-hued kicks with a pair of equally flashy JustDon x Mitchell & Ness Lakers shorts.

Sports and The Culture

If you follow the NBA even a little bit, you know that Russell Westbrook’s style off the court is just as bold as he is on the court. His life motto is ”Why Not” and that certainly extends to his fashion choices. Face it, this man can do it both on and off the court his style leaves a lasting impression. Russell doesn’t shy away from statement glasses or a wide brimmed hat, and he’s certainly not afraid to mix prints, patterns, and fabrics. A walking Triple Double on and off the court. Russell Westbrook is dominate in all aspects of fashion. He can turn a neon crossing guard vest into a high driving frenzy on a Friday night. Russell Westbrook  is one-of-a-kind—and he probably knows it. The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard’s talents got him onto the NBA hardwood, but it’s his innate sense of style that’s garnered him an audience far beyond the pro-sports set. After all, this is the guy who brought competitive dressing to crazy new heights, whether it was with all over eccentric, adult overalls, preppy-on-steroids fits, Canadian tuxedos, or an accessory game that would rival any try-hard menswear blogger out there. While Westbrook is a man who knows how to make an entrance on a red carpet, it’s his pregame fit  that are really designed to get noticed-and this season has been no different.
